Ian's Surge - Hardcover Signed

Hurricane Ian smashed into Florida's southwest shore in September 2022.  The Category 5 hurricane packed winds of 161 miles per hour off the coast of Fort Myers Beach in Lee County.  The hurricanes power pushed a wall of water ashore.  The catastrophic storm surge measuring 15 feet, submerged homes and businesses in the tourist area.

Ian killed 156 people, 41 of them drown in the surge.  Of those, 36 died in the storm surge in Lee County.

"Ian's Surge" is based on the real-life events of television news meteorologist Scott Withers and photojournalist Kyle Smart.  The storm surge trapped them in their car.  Their massive SUV was submerged and filling with water.  There was no escape.

With just moments to live, three fisherman appeared and attempted a rescue as the monster storm raged around them.
